Campus Community,

In January 2013, the next step in UNLV’s transition to Blackboard’s new product, Learn 9.1, will begin. As part of this step, the School of Nursing and Hotel College will be piloting the new WebCampus for all of their courses (excluding the Singapore Campus).
By Fall 2013, ALL UNLV WebCampus courses will be offered in the new environment.
What does this mean for you?
· Your existing WebCampus courses will need to be converted to work in the new system. The Office of Online Education will be migrating the content for all online education sections (hybrid, web-based, web-based with on/off campus meetings). Self-help materials are being created for all other courses. Staff and the Faculty Collaboratory ( will be available to assist in the transition.
· Many of the features that have been requested over the years will now be available, including an improved grade center, drag and drop functionality, calendar enhancements, and customizable course menu.

What should you do right now?
· Start now to think about what courses you will want to move to the new environment. · This is a good time to eliminate files you are no longer using or to delete duplicate files and remove back-up files from your course files. We are here to help if you need assistance cleaning up your course files.
Stay tuned for more communication throughout the spring semester regarding the transition and brown bag lunch sessions. More information about the transition can found by visiting
